There ar many aspects of the play that engage and interest the audience, two main aspects being prank and play a joke onery. There are many characters in the play which contribute to the buffoonery and slick which is abundant in the play in particular Lucio is a character who is often seen as comical due to his lack of restraint in his speech and his ignorance of other characters. He is often associated with bawdy humour but is also associated with noblemen which brings his character into debate. The main source of trickery which engages the audience is the put on trick which is cunningly devised by the Duke, which again brings his and also Isabellas character into debate. As of yet Lucio is painted as being a bawdy character solely to humour the audience with his ridiculous imagery some say a sea maid spawned him. The play on a whole I found very interesting and engaging, as a problem play many o f the decisions made by the characters can be argued for and against, hence the audiences judgements on these characters will be diverse as everyone will behold characters decisions in a different manner.
